Pinellas County's total population according to the US census in 2000 is 921,482. Pinellas County estimates that by 2010 there will be 955,589 people.The population count makes Pinellas County the 2nd most populated county per square mile in Florida. Despite the number of people, the area offers twenty different beaches, plus endless causeways and parks to get away and enjoy nature. There are 587 miles of coast line and 115 bridges.
A fun fact is that St. Petersburg was named America's sunniest city after it set the record, which was 768, for the longest run of consecutive sunny days!
